This, in my opinion, it the real penultimate question. Are zombies real? Think on this. Stories of zombies have been around forever. Literally. I believe they are even mentioned in the Bible. If the dead actually returned to life and the government got it under control before it spread beyond a few people (This is a class 1 outbreak), do you really think the story would be told truthfully? What about if it were more than a few (Class 2)? Or an entire town (Class 3)? Consider the news stories surrounding the so-called Mad Cow Disease. Whatever happened to this virus? It just up and disappeared like a fart in the wind. Think about SARS. Severe upper respiratory syndrome? Flu-like symptoms. Now take a look at the Avian Flu. Same damn symptoms as SARS, but all we got from the news was a bunch of terrified asians running around an airport with paper masks held over their faces. The same footage over and over. No resolution, no cure, the shit just up and disappeared. If nothing of what I've mentioned here makes you think twice, don't even bother posting. You'll be zombie food if you're lucky. If you're not lucky, well, let's just say I've got blades ready to pierce your flesh eating skull. Sharp blades. That don't need reloading. The real question is not "Why are we here?" but "Are you prepared?"

I agree, if they were the slow ones from the origional "Dawn Of The Dead" I would be alright defending myself.
But if they were like damn athletes like from "28 Days Later" or the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" I would be completely screwed.

You forgot the ebola virus, which spreads in outbreaks of only a couple of weeks at a time. Who knows how that might turn to make zombies.

On the contrary, the Ebola virus is real, there are actual documented cases of it, and there is a cure. The ailments mentioned above have NO documented cases that I've been able to find, never had a cure or vaccine developed, and were never heard about again. My whole point it that there is a possibility that these so called diseases could easily be a coverup for something worse. Something like a zombie outbreak. Explain that.

Mad cow disease (CJD) still exists, and it isn't a virus, it's a prion. Basically it is a misshaped protein that can alter the shape of other proteins, causing them to clump together into plaques, thus fucking over your brain...

It is believed that cows got the disease by eating meat and bone meal, produced from the ground and cooked left-overs of the slaughtering process.

Ebola just makes you bleeds out of your ass...

...and every other orifice :(

I'll give you that one, should have researched better. But what about SARS? Where'd that one go? And what about the supposed "Avian Flu"?

I think with those, people are afraid that it will mutate and effect humans. But not harmful to us now.
