That was Stupid! Suicide is Stupid! To many people out there dieing who do not want to and all people can talk about is a suicide. I feel no sympathy for someone who commits suicide because of depression or a break up or failing grades or being pregnant or any other stupid reason like those.
The only time that I would allow or even assist in suicide would be a terminal patient who is in a lot of pain. Even then, my religious and moral convictions take over.
Enough of that, I hate suicide videos with a passion!

so you feel no sympathy for someone with extreme mental and emotional pain? suicide is never the best way out, but it's not like only an idiot would do it.

there are times when emotional pain can become too much to handle. you may refute this, but i ask, have you ever been in a situation where the stress and depression has been overwhelming and seemed endless? wouldn't it feel like ending your life would get rid of the problem? for people where that pain never truly does end, they have to take matters into their own hands.

What do you mean remove them from society because they cost money? You don't cost much money to society after you're dead. Your family pays $6,000 for a funeral or they have you creamated. What do you do to remove them? Put them out in the woods? I don't think her family knew she was suicidal because hopefully she would've been in thre hospital getting mental help.
Some people get scared up there and wonder if they should jump and then sit there or pace in this case until they make up their mind.

KID, let the OZZIE set you straight on something.........Depression is a mental disorder, that is Correct!
Under most situations, attempted suicide is a cry for help or attention. They really do not want to die, they just want the attention that they get from the people around them. This is why most tell you in advance that they are going to do it!
Suicide is SELFISH! Those that try or are successful often think it is the only way to escape their problems. They think that their world is at an end, whether because of a failed relationship, failure at school, criminal problems resulting in possible incarceration, dysfunction over sexual orientation, loss of job, loss of finances, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. These are all selfish reasons...."Woe is me, I am no good, I am a Loser, I am a Homo, My wife/girlfriend doesn't love me, I can't find a job".....the reasons go on and on. These are selfish because the person does not stop to think of the effect their committing suicide will have on family and friends. How do you explain to a child that their parent would rather be dead than play with them? How do you explain to a parent or sibling that their loved one only thought of the pain they were in, not the pain that they would create by such a selfish act.

Sure, Depression is a mental illness But most people that are depressed are not suicidal. In fact, recent studies by the AMA have discovered that some of the drugs that are prescribed for depression in fact can cause suicide.

The only "excusable reason" for suicide is a case where one is terminally ill or in such pain due to illness or disease (ie: cancer) that there is no way to live a comfortable life than I believe "assisted suicide" is the term that is used in these cases.

Sarah, I just spoke with my wife about suicide and the ones that have affected our lives. We have been together over twenty years and have experienced the pain of a friend committing suicide on more than 7 occasions. I can add 4 more friends to that list from my own life. One was my best friend, with my gun in my living room. With the exception of my first experience with suicide (Thanksgiving Holiday 1968, I was in 9th grade and a friend hung himself while the family ate Turkey dinner) all the rest had drugs and/or alcohol involved. Only one was truly depression and not a cry for help. He planned it, made arrangements, gave away select items to select friends (he gave me a $900.00 Mountain Bike), went somewhere that he knew he wouldn't be found for two or three days, and did three things to make sure he was successful. Even this was a selfish move.
Suicide is a waste of human life....If someone really wants to die like the last person I mentioned, why couldn't he have done it where he would be found immediately so that his body parts might help someone that wants to live? Someone could have had his heart, lungs, corneas, kidneys....so many parts that could have gone so far and made a difference in so many lives.
I have a sister that is manic depressive and has "attempted" suicide more than 10 times. My mother died from a heart attack worrying about her. All my sister says now is she would like to kill me, my family, my brother and his family. Screwed up, huh? Now if she finally was successful at suicide, I would be relieved. You get tired of going through life looking over your shoulder and making sure the alarm is set at night.
Suicide is a selfish waste of a human being....I hope you see my point.

Newsflash! She was about to jump off anyway!

He was the only one there that tried to save her. If you look, he doesn't touch her until she has (probably without thinking) stepped back off the edge.

If the people below had been thinking, they could have had something ready to break her fall when she did jump, and they would have had time to get it in place while he was holding her.

Have a think how he must have felt after that. I have had family commit suicide, so I have experience of this, luckily not to the extent Ozzie has and I agree with him. I think suicide is one of the most selfish things you can do.
