Where do i find?

I need to find the folder where all the chat messages are stored from yahoo and msn. Does anyone know where it is or what its called because ive been looking for it for about 3hrs. I desperatley need to locate it and clean it out. Its a matter of life and death.

Here's a thought: Open up a new chat session with the same network, and type in something unique, on the lines of "XxxXxxYyyYyy" then using advanced search search for the same text. If it's stored as text, you'll find it Raize.

I think...I THINK the folders are stored in Mydocuments/recievedfiles I'm not entirely sure though. At least, that's what it is for MSN

i haven't used that feature in a while but last time i did it was stored as XML.

Know that feeling, been there, some of the shite i have had to cover up from my wife and exgirlfriends, same as you, in chat, but fuck it , it could be worse i could be out screwin around in the clubs and bar´s, instead it´s some drunken banter in a forum or chat room with someone that i´m pretty damn certain i´m never going to meet.:)

In Yahoo you can actually completely disable logging of chat text so there is no record of it. I don't think MSN stores chat logs, but it does have a received folder in your "My Documents" where any pictures or files people send to you are stored.

Best rule of thumb is to just say no phone boning altogether lol, especially while drunk!

BBC did you know theres also a folder on the comp that stores all the pm you recieve in here. I found mine and cleaned it out aswell, just to be safe.

One more q. Where do the filecabi.net private messages go on the computer. I found them once before but cant again.Unless you deliberately save them somewhere, they'll stay in your browser's cache. This is true for pictures, but I'm not sure about text. In any case, clear the cache and you'll be right Raize.

FTR: Unless you use a secure delete program deleted files remain on your HDD until over-written by another file. The fastest way to permanently delete files from a drive is with a sledgehammer... ask Gary Glitter. :omg:
