What have YOU done to make the world a better place? Who are YOU to knock someone for making a difference in the world? Who cares if she's rich...any smart business person is going to set up any organization in the most financially beneficial manner possible, that doesn't make her a hypocrite, it makes her a smart business woman, which is probably why she has so much money.

And that's just the school she has...she DOES give her own hard earned money to charity...LOTS of it.

What kind of a world do we live in where people judge others for doing GOOD, yet they themselves sit back and do NOTHING, other than judge people...? :omg:

couldn't have said it better myself :xyxthumbs: i dont enjoy her show but she is a very good person imo the sexual harrasement cases at her school nearly tore her down and it wasnt even her fault. shes a great woman and does give away tons of her money just look atthe shows when she gives away cars to EVERY guest i dont know of any individual who does.

Well, hang on...Pontiac didn't 'give' them away out of the kindness of their heart...they got a TON of free advertising during her show for those cars...so, the reality is, both the network and Pontiac footed the bill for those cars.

I wasn't going to use that as an example...I'm talking outside of her show, she's one of the largest celebrity donators when it comes to shelling out money for charity, out of her own pocket. Yes, she can afford it...but, she could also spend that money on other things, so it's still very commendable of her.

Well, I don't 'like' Oprah...I can't watch her show, and I fucking can't STAND Dr. Phil...OMG, don't get me going...

But, I do respect Oprah...she's very talented, very smart, very charitable...I can recognize why so many women look up to her, I just can't stomach it, myself.

BTW...her friend, Gayle King...my grandfather used to make the ear fittings for all the on-air news personalities at WFSB-TV (Channel 3 in Hartford, CT). He'd take us grand kids there to see the TV studio and meet the news anchors...Gayle King was one of them, the only one that was ever rude when I'd been there.
