Ben's applying for a couple of uni's and needs to write a personal statement, he's gonna be studying bussiness and enterprise. Has anyone got any ideas as to what he can write so I can help him when he gets here, he's really struggling with it and I thought he'd appreciate a little help there's also the fact that I wanna watch Moulin Rouge tonight and two heads are better than one lol so please please help me.
I gotta go make myself beautiful for him so I'll check back in a lil while.

I'd love to help, but it is a personal statement. I don't know him.

Man that is a tough one. I would definitely include something that states that he is self-motivated. Finding truly motivated people can be hard to come by and is something the business world is always looking for.
Overall though make it as honest as possible so that if they should call him out on something, he can back it up.
On a side note, the person who invents some sort of liquid motivation (without the nasty effects of today's "motivators") is going to be one rich mu-fucka!

There's always writing about his goal of this degree, how he plans to utilize it to help others, which includes him and what the degree would do for him and his family. How this will open doors for him and others, etc...doesn't hurt to be civic minded for these things.

He is highly motivated can't chill for a min without wanting to get this or that finished
The prob I'm having with helping him is the fact he has severe Dyslexia so I'm trying to read what he's written but some of it doesn't even make sense coz he's missimg words and letters out all over the place. He also has ADD so getting him to sit still and think about what he wants to write is a nightmare because his mind keeps wondering.
thanks for your input BBC.

Use a metaphor or another figurative piece of language.
Such as:
"Everyday I plant a seed of success in my mind, and hope that the motivation I can muster is enough water for the seed to grow into a tree."
OR
"Sometimes I look at the stars and dream about the universe. Everytime I do this, quickly after I realize that the stars are not important. What is important is the present, and achieving my goals. After success, then maybe, I can look towards the stars for another goal."
OR
"I am like a oreo. I might be black on the outside, but on the inside I'm white." (You're not black are you? bah)

Haha these people have terrible advice. My advice would be to threaten the University admissions guy. Ya know, nothing outright, just a veiled threat.
Like this, "Business is my passion...and if I'm not able to achieve that then I don't know what will happen to the person who's keeping me from it..."

Just say 'as long as reading, writing and attention span is not entailed...he's your man!'.
If he doesn't get in, threaten them for being discriminating. Works in America.

lmfao too true.
2 People apply for Harvard, they are both valedictorians, 5.0 GPA, both Captains of a sports teams, over 250 hours of comminty service each along with a handful of clubs.
Only 1 difference. One is Chinese, and the other is Black.:omg:
Guess who wins?

You know what...I don't think there's a truer statement!!! fuck it I'll just get him to write that lol
Thanks for your help guys, we got about a third of it done but he's got a weird writing style it's like he writes it exactly how he thinks it. I just can't get him to understand how he should write it, so I'll leave him to it for now and help edit it later.
