Buy four chickens instead!
Turkey tastes like papyrus wrapped string when women try to cook it so men should take over. Just do it. This year I've bought small chickens, brisket of beef and a leg of pork. Still looking for a decent ham.
Any turkey tips?
Mine is roast on Christmas Eve, remove the breasts and cut into one inch slices and marinade in juices overnight. Reheat and serve on Christmas day. It's easy and works every time lol. Shit - I'm bored. :omg:

Some people put butterz (hehe) between the meat and the skin before baking. I used thin slices of prosciutto ham instead of butter this year at thanksgiving, this added lots of flavor to the bird.

Jaba, Yup: Both recipes sound awesome. :)
It's going to be 38C here on Christmas day, not exactly roast weather. The standard Down Under fare is cold prawns and cold roast. I have no idea what my Stepmum is cooking, but I'm sure it will be awesome.
Enjoy Filecabi. :)
Don't DUI.

lol I'm going to demand a raise shortly into the start of next year (when they'll be struggling the most and putting all their faith in me to pull them through).
But the crays he got for free since he fishes for them, and he's had good luck this season. :xyxthumbs:

wrap the turkey in bacon after the first 25 minuts high temprature( so it has a little brown color outside), and pour some the baking liquid over the turkey every 15 minutes. remove the bacon the last 15 minutes.
Fil it with a filling of
Soupmeatballs(unkooked frozen)
grapes
bacon
dried prunes
-1/2 of the fuilling is made of the soupballmeat
-hand full of red grapes
-hand full of died prunes
-3 slices of bacon
-1 glass of red wine(cheap stuff makes it more sweet)
-1 bottle of beer( not the alcoholfree)
-3 eggs
-heat up the wine and soak the prunes, remove the pits from the grapes and put them in the wine too.
-on a medium heated fire, sliced bacon(tiny pieces), and the meat until done.
-Add the prunes and grapes to the meatfilling, don't throw away the wine
-Let ir cool down, and add the eggs ( must be cool enough so the eggs wont get lumpy already
-Fill the turkey, and follow the instructions on the label( oven heat or time, could be different each turkey)
-Put the stuffed turkey in the oven(can use some cotton wire to seal the behind, prefenting the filling going out)
-The first 15 minutes in a hot oven, then turn down the heat.
-after the first 15 minutes, cover the turkey with bacon, all around
-the 2nd 15 minutes, pour the wine on top of the turkey
-the 3rd 15 minutes add the beer.
-then every 15 or 20 minutes, use a big spoon to pur some of the liquid on top of the turkey, So it won't get dry
