During the winter I'm a pretty big skiier, snowboarding is lost on me.
During the summer...I love swimming or I play football a lot, which kicks ass. Longboarding on occasion. I dunno, just a lot of shit in the summer. Or I just love to ride my motorcycle.

Not completely banned, you can have a licence for a shotgun or a hunting rifle and you can own handguns if you are a member of a shooting club, Hasek is in the Army cadets so i presume that is where he shoots.

AFAIK - shotguns and hunting rifles are allowed as long as you have both a license and a locked cabinet to store them.
handguns however are totally banned, in fact i think even replicas and airsoft guns are banned also, which doesn't bode well for my collection.

Driving...
I'm at the track at least twice a month... Sometimes I take the lambo around the track to "stretch its legs" but mostly it's one of our demo cars... we sort of turn it into a friendly race weekend with a large selection of cars running on the track... usually we get the Sports car clubs involved so it becomes quite a display sometimes with Ferraris Aston Martins, Lambos Lotus and Porche on the track... The trip up is quite a sight too as we convoy from Bangkok to Bira International raceway in Pattaya and it's quite impressive to see a convoy of supercars ripping down the highway...

We used to race (illegaly) on the highway but stoped it after one of our club members got killed in his Lotus Esprit... Lost controll and Slammed into a Merc SLK and caught fire... so now we just drive up nice and easy and run the cars flat out on the track...

i think the only exotic i have ever taken on (think i was stupid, cuz i know i no fuckin chance) was a Porsche 911, he some out of state dude who didnt know the highway unlike me and who i guess wasnt rly ready to crank his fine bitch up to top gear...all in all it was the most dangerous fun ive had in all the time ive been driving
hmm

We get good driving weather most of the time except between May ans august when it rains constantly... I hate racing in the rain... it's not the wet track that bothers me I like a wet track, it makes drifting more fun.... but its the near zero visibility when it pelts down...
tgd_02
February 18th, 2008, 09:38 PM
never really tried drifting in any of the cars that i owned
and it never really interested me tbh
but yea i can still do 90+ here wen it rains, but not able to c shit makes me take the foot of the pedal
its just not worth it for me in the rain, specially against noob drivers....id love to drive an exotic though and see wat REAL speed is like
Afronaught
February 18th, 2008, 09:58 PM
Asia is drift crazy... well not surprising as it started in Japan... but I find the Lotus cars drift the best and the Lambos drift the worst... Well you cant really drift a lambo because it's permanent 4 wheel drive... but the Lotus Exige loves to drift... rear wheel drive and mid mountes engine... and a whole lot of fun
tgd_02
February 18th, 2008, 10:02 PM
well theres nothing around me with mid mounted engines lol
but lotsa rwd for sure but again cuz of the shit weather, all these cars come out during the summer because they are damn near useless in the snow
but idk if i can get someone to teach me to drift or some shit
(and a couple thousand dollars for tires)
then ill try it
rite now, its all me and the road no fast turns, no hollywood bullshit tricks...

Good choice... yeah the rubber gets expensive and of course the Manufactureres insist on using their "approved Tyres" so Pirelli zero for the Lambos and Ferraris and Yokohama advans for the Lotus cars...
and that shit is not cheap... luckaly we get the manufacturers to back the events which means they supply the rubber... the owners dont complain because they get free tyres :D

Lots of Racing here... And Illegal ones... there a section of highway thats been under construction here for years and is the favorite hangout for the street racers... the best part is that the cops dont hassle us there because its an unused section... big enough to set up a drift circuit and long enough for the Dragsters... so we get a selection of cars and bikes... The bikes range from modified 100cc scooters to Ducati superbikes...
and the cars are a huge range from old 30 year old modifieds to our super cars... the best part is the wealthy and the not so wealthy hang out together... it's like our level playing field and we just get together for the thrill of the "need for speed"
it's pretty cool

bah
lol im not saying im ANY better cuz i know im not, and im just as guilty as the next but at least i KNOW my machine inside and out, i have a real feel wit her
i know the car can fit, where it cant, how far up i can turn up the rpm, how fast i can go at different places etc, and to never fuck with truckers and bikers
but thats me... idk wish they had some sort of way to let young racers get the speeding out of their system, i think all drivers get it when they begin driving, and its best to address it, and not let a fucking accident be the 'lesson' that taught them to obey both the machine and the speed....

Here the street racing crowd is quite cool... the experienced drivers are always willing to help new drivers... and many of the get togethers you'll find someone teaching a noob driver how to drift or drag race... and someone is always willing to give advice... even the tuners help some noobs in setting up their cars for racing... there are a few noobs who stupidly try show off... and usually end up fucking their cars up but most of the time ppl are pretty relaxed and chill....
through the dealershi,p we also import Racers and ride and handling experts from Italy and England to teach some of the competitive drivers... and give an introduction to noobs in race driving...

yes... All our owners go through a ride and handling program... For the Aston Martins we fly owners up to Mitlon Keans to do a drivers course with the Aston Martin Factory... Lambo and ferrari owners we send to Santa Agata and Modena in italy... amn Lotus we send to Silverstone or to Norwich depending on their preferance...
We also snd clients who want to certify their Racing drivers liscence to Silverstone for the advanced race driver training school... where they get to race everything from formula 1 to GT...
It's not a pre-requisit to do a course to own the car... but we send owners in anycase because they teach you the ins and outs of the functions in the car, how to care for it properly and how to drive it properly... and they teach ride handling....

The driving side of it is the coolest but the rest of it is plain boring... we have quotas to meet on all our brands so most of the time it's boring meetings with marketing and promotional agents... product launches and press interviews with the automotive press... it's the part of the business that really sucks... becuse ther cars arte so expensive we dont push volume sales as you would with Ford or other genreal public brands... you have to continiuosly market and sell the cars... and it becomes a pain at times... as the Manufactureres demand meeting yearly quotas and increasing it for the following year... it is stress full at times.
