i carried a tent around europe for like 3 weeks once, and only used it once in the whole time cause hostels were so cheap.

it was pretty cool tho. camped out on the side of a mountain in the swiss alps. when you looked out of the tent, all you could see was the paramount mountain. i wish i still had the pics... :(

When my sister and her friend went last year they were robbed in a hostel in London. They got there and were extremely tired so they put their shit down and went to sleep for a little while, the door was locked of course. But while they were sleeping someone came into the room and went through their back packs stealing her friend's camera, money, passport, id and credit card and my sisters money, credit card, id and passport. They had footage of the guy going in but couldn't ID him. Apparently he had a copy of the room's key they said, fuck that was a long few weeks for my mom staying up till 3+ in the morning for my sister to call or the london police department.

The Canadian Embassy did shit all to help her as well, but they got home safe at least. Luckily they canceled the credit card fast or that would be even worse. Stranded overseas wouldn't be my cup o' tea, but at least my sister's camera didn't get stolen so she still had pictures :thumb: but there were still some good pictures on her friend's camera that is now in someone else's possession.

one problem is that most coffeeshops don't have anywhere to smoke outside, and even if they did it's cold at cannabis cup time, and smoking weed in streets isn't really allowed anyway.

the only place i can even think of that has seating outside is barnies brasserie and that place is always packed anyway. on the plus side i guess there will actually be room to eat breakfast inside. i think i'll miss dolphins the worst though, cause the lounge downstairs was awesome, and now it's fucking useless cause they don't even serve alcohol any more.

this is obviously going to put cofeeshops out of business, which is what the government wants anyway. nobody is going to buy their overpriced drinks if they cannot smoke there, and in some cases like dolphins they will be making most of the premesis totally redundant.

Why would you need to ask anyone?

They used to run the shit drains right down the main streets... all thats changed is they now have 200,000 video cameras on each street to watch the shit flow.

Pass through the "big" name cities if you must to say youve seen them, then tour the countrysides.
Im guessing England, the whole damn little rock and all around, probably have some of the best looking countryside, villages, castles etc.
(well thats why I want to go... planning to just start with Scotland and see... If I ever make it)
