that's funny, my buddy threw the Wii remote over the TV and into the fireplace once while playing Wii Bowling. And no, there wasn't a fire going at the time.

That's why there is a strap on the wii-mote.When the first units came out there was no wrist strap. A bunch of customer complaints (probably one by this guy, lol) is why they come with straps now.
My sister's family has a Wii, and I've used it a few times. It's much more versatile than an XBox 360, that's for sure. Once you add the Wii fit and guitar hero to it it's a really good system, much better than any of the ones I've ever bought for Lock

The first units came with straps. They were just thinner than the ones they come with now. I have always been a Nintendo fanboy but the Wii does not come close to the 360 as a gaming system. It's better than the PS3 at least.

Ah I didn't know that.
But in this case there was a wrist-strap, you can see it if you look closer.
