I'm sorry, but I believe in not harming something that isn't harming you. And i don't think that that guy was going to harm the deer. But the deer saw the gun, and probably assessed a threat. But in the case of the guy.....

This video is actually pretty old, the guy was doing a demonstration to show how deer attack other male deer. The guy sprayed male deer urine on his clothes to get the animal to attack.

FYI-I am real familiar with this vid..He is NOT a Game Warden or anything like that. That was not a gun OR a rifle, it was a TRIPOD. And YES, that was his wife filming it and in the original, you can hear the man yelling at his wife "KEEP FILMING, KEEP FILMING!" :!:
The IDIOT went into the woods to film the DEER. It was the fall and the deer were in RUT (mating season). The BIG DUMMY put DOE ESTROS (a Buck attractant used during ARCHERY season usually) all OVER himself instead of on cotton balls on the ground nearby. :idea: (bright, huh?)
The DOE ESTROS (which is removed from an in season DOE's GLANDS and URINE) attracts the MALE DEER (the BUCK w/ANTLERS) to her for reason of procreation (SEX!). :wink:
The BUCK was only trying to GET HIS JOLLIES OFF on the man! :roll:
Like I said, the guy was an IDIOT! A lucky idiot BUT STILL AN IDIOT!

IF the Buck was "challenging" the man, he would have dropped his head and used his ANTLERS. That is their primary offensive/defensive weapons.

and ERS, it appears to me from reading your previous posts that you are not into hunting. 50kg? Give me a break! That Buck will DRESS OUT to more than that! On the hoof, I'd say at least 80kg (that'd be about 170-180 lbs for us YANKS on this side of the POND). If the man is of "average" size and weighs 180lbs, compare the two! And the deer is SOLID MUSCLE! In your country I think they call them STAGS, European Elk aren't as big as their NORTH AMERICAN relatives.
JUDGING BY the size of his ANTLERS (don't count the points or length - that is dictated by diet and genetics) this BUCK is in his PRIME. probably 3-4 yrs old.

You're right Big Ozzie. I got it wrong. I read in my driver license book that a roe deer only weigh 30 kg. And I'm (as you say) not into hunting so I didn't realise the diffrence between a roe deer and a deer at that point. And another thing I should have thought of is that a roe deer NEVER EVER gets so close to a human (I have tried to run after a them many times :P)! BUT, I still think that some people (hurmm... Crocop... hurmm...) can knock a deer like that out. It will take some time and he will get "stabed" but I still think he can knock the deer out.

The ROE DEER is native to EUROPE and ASIA and stands about 24-30" tall. About the size of a large dog, like a GERMAN SHEPERD, but weighing less (about 50-60lbs).
These deer looks like a miniature ELK, with the antlers forming a main beam that extends back over the shoulders. The antler "tines" then grow off the main beam.
Here in the USA, we have a small deer much like your ROE DEER called a SIKA DEER. Imported from ASIA to MARYLAND about 200 years ago, you can find AND hunt this deer in the swamps around the CHESEAPEAKE BAY.
The "STAGS" look a lot like your ROE, as they are closely related.
The White Tail and Black Tail are related, with antlers that usually go forward, protecting the face rather than back like an Elk or European Stag. The Mule Deer, found in our western states, has antlers that go almost straight up, forking into a "Y", with each point forking again and again...
AND if you ever CATCH UP to one of your deer and "KNOCK IT OUT" make sure you have some one video tape it. I want to see it on FILECABI.

Talking as the "typical camoflauge wearing deer hunting hick", the hunter was wearing doe urine in heat which makes the deer extremely agressive because he expects to fight another buck in order to mate with the doe. When the deer found the hunter his insticts were already set to fight so he did what came naturally... resulting in kicking the freaking snot out of the hunters. Two comments:

1) don't wear doe scent in the mating season unless you are up in a tree stand and even then carry a backup pistol.

2) DK you can kiss my white american ass and hunting is the only way your inbred assclown family managed to survive the cold winter months for the last 4,000 years without eating each others shit for food. When I want to hear an ignorant snotnosed brat whine I'd kick him in the ass first with my foot so please use your animal instincts and shut the fuck up when I come walking through. It is quite obvious that this poor miscreant is totally lacking in an education higher than the 5th grade! Judging by his posts and they way he loves to berate other guests and members alike, it is quite obvious that he suffers from an ejaculation retention problem. What, may I ask is "camoflagee"? Is it anything like camouflage?
And no, a deer would not know what a gun is. Sounds like a silly statement, true. But, those who do not have the experience hunting may not know that.
BUT as a hunter, I will walk the woods preseason to see what the quality of game is like and where it is located. I spend many a day walking and standing and taking wildlife photos.
Why is it when I am unarmed, I can walk right up on deer and they will just stand there and not run? If I were to carry a rifle, shotgun or more often a bow, they take flight immediately.

i dont hunt not against it but i think the guy sorta deserves it considering the fact that he kills deer why cant they strike back? Wouldn't you if somone was hunting your kind? Also why is somone video taping him getting trampled without helping him? Didn't they have a rifle too?
