Ok so I'm flying up north for a week to work at a mining village or something.
I've been trying to just jam everything i need into my backpack.. I don't like taking big bags or anything.
So far i've got like four workshirts and one non work shirt.. a hoodie... some boxer shorts, some socks, my work boots (take up a lot of room -_-)... shoes (that i'm wearing), three pairs of shorts for work and one for non work... that i'm wearing..
my hat.
.. my sunglasses..
deoderant..
toothbrush and toothpaste...
... harry potter and the goblet of fire hardback....
.. my vitamins and shit...
... my mobile phone + charger...
... my wallet + money + car keys...
hmmm... i don't think i missed anything..

a pick axe
hmm. don't have a pick axe but i have a rather useful hatchet. I'll throw that in there too.
Ahh well i got to go soon. The guy who i'm going with who is driving me to the airport isn't answering his phone so i'd be better getting there sooner then later.

Why are you bringing 3 pairs of shorts to work with for one week, but your only bringing one pair to wear outside working hours?
Don't tell me ye all wear clean clothes to work on farms, building sites, etc.. Seriously, I was just saying to Monty the other day that Australia are quick becoming the new Ireland. And that hasn't helped me change my mind in the slightest.

But when I work on site, which is very seldom now, as I only do it if one of my mates are stuck and they let me know in advance. I would wear the same clothes. I mean your only going to get dirty anyway. But if you wear the one pair of clean shorts everyday after work. Wouldn't I be right in assuming that maybe some people would think that your smelly?

smelly for wearing a clean pair of shorts? I don't understand what you're getting at. yes on the job you get dirty. but when you get home, there is such thing as a shower. which afterwards usually you put clean clothes on.

Seems like Josh covered all the basics, although he didn't mention sunscreen... which will likely be provided on site.
Have a good time up north Josh mate. :thumb:
