View Full Version : I just found out im terminal.......

So im writting this cause I need some advice. I went and got a tattoo checked and it turns out my body rejects all colors except black. Yes im terminal. Meaning, the swallow I just bought will now be covered by a six armed woman in a black dress , surrounded by clouds and probably topless. Well, I don't have the cash to get this done, well actually I do, I just don't want to spend it. Id rather spend someone elses, i.e. my fiance. Seeing as how he despises all 10+ tattoos and piercings he's not just going to gimmie the money straight. So I was wondering what would be a good lie to tell him to get this money. Any ideas? Or do you think the truth is sufficient? Who wants to marry a broad with an ugly tramp stamp on her back? That swallow looks terrible now, all faded and chipped and sickly looking cause my body is rejecting it. So would the truth be better and if not what would be a good lie?
Thanks
By the way, if you don't have anything positive to say about the whole matter, Draz this means you, don't bother saying it please.

Ps
I got the adive to cry to him and say that I need it for the wedding or else this problem is going to ruin it. Is that even a lie?

If you are considering lying to the ol' man now and you are not even married yet, call the wedding off!
I don't want to sound old fashioned BUT, if you loose your trust in your partner, you have nothing. Once you lie or get caught in a lie, it's over. No turning back. Sure you can stay together and try to make it work, but that loss of trust that you had will eat at you or him no matter how hard you try to not let it.
If you are considering a lie at this point in your relationship, then you are not close enough yet to get married.
Do not get married for the wrong reasons.
My suggestion?
Step back and look at your relationship. Evaluate it like you were an outsider. Are you getting married for the right reasons? Is the closeness there that both partners want? Are all the factors positive that are leading to the marriage?
Don't ruin the friendship you have by getting married for the wrong reasons.
10th Tattoo? And you are just finding out your skin is color intolerant? Were all your previous Tat's just Black line?

You ought to tell him. You would want him to tell you, right?
What the hell? A six armed woman with clouds and topless? What would that represent? Well maybe somthing to you. But listen if I were you I'd save my money and get it removed. Or try a tattoo with a lot of meaning. Just don't put him name.
Show us a pic of the swallow and a pick of the tattoo you'd like to have it covered with. How did you not know you were terminal? I mean did the rest of the tattoos turn black? Maybe it's not so bad.... Why did you get a swallow anyway? Wow 10++ tats? He must love you since he hates piercings and tats! Oh well good luck. Tell him!

If you were my fiance and I didn't like tattoo's and you had them and you wanted money, only way I'd give you cash is to get the laser surgery to get that tramp stamp off.
I mean, if he's bypassing his hatered of tattoo's and piercings and actually loves you enough to marry him, why the hell would you even think about lying to him for money? You're a terrible person and don't deserve love, sorry.

You're not a terrible person, but you're contemplating a terrible act. I'd be completely honest about it. He's going to find out about the tattoo anyway when you consummate the marriage.

I just can join the opiones, don't ever lie to someone you love, he will find out and then you are more or less screwed, because his trust will be lost, and it is very hard to rebuild a once lost trust, maybe you will never be able to rebuild it.
I wont say that you are terrible, or don't deserve love, everyone deserves to be loved and to love, but after you lied, and you know that your partner knows it, you will get depressed, and your fiance will always have something in his mind "does she say the truth now?", everytime you will say something to him, this will shoot trought his mind, always reminding him of what you have done and eventually it will destroy your relationship.
And one more thing, don't you find it nasty to lie to someone who loves you, how you are, even that he hates what you got and he jumps over his own shadow?

People lie all the time dickhole, it doesn't make them terrible people. Someone sounds a bit bitter in my opinion. I dont deserve love because of this? Jesus Christ, calm down.
This is why I asked you guys, cause listening to my friends they're just terrible people in general so I contemplted the lie. I've never lied to him, theres no point. And I don't have 10+ tattoos, there's not enough room to hide them. 10+ tattoos AND piercings.
Well we figured it out ( we being me, the guy who does all my work, and my best mate) 4th tattoo later that my skin didn't take color because well, my first one was all black the other were on my feet. The one on the left foot is this huge purple and green star, that one wasn't so bad. The other is a black rosary around my foot and ankle with a red middle, the red just stripped right off. We were sure it was just the fact that it was on the feet, apparently they're unpredicatable. Until this swallow came along. Then one oculd clearly see I was having a terrible terrible reaction. Don't get me wrong we've got an amazing relationship and I guess lying would ruin it to some extent. Hmm, perhaps the terrible truth would scare him into it maybe? Maybe not.
The six armed woman I've wanted for ages, it has no real meaning besides the fact that I like it. And it will be the end of my body modification carer (why cant I spell career?), theres only so much one can do with a big ass stain on their lower back. Im not trying to waste money on a removal, those thousands of dollars can be spent on something else. Besides, this is easier, cheaper, and less painful. I'll get over it. I'd post pictures of the swallow in its current state but it's utterly shameful and if I looked at it i'd probably cry. Nor do I have a picture of this woman.
This is getting way too long. Sorry. :(

And it will be the end of my body modification carer (why cant I spell career?), theres only so much one can do with a big ass stain on their lower back. I have about 20+ tattoos all over my body. The smallest is a black widow spider about 2" span from end of feet to end of feet. The largest is a Dragon that covers my entire left lower leg, calf and shin. I have memorials on my back to the friends that have gone on before me. My right arm and chest is dedicated to birds of prey, my left arm is my fantasy area, girlfriends, wives, a large unicorn, a larger Pegasus, the Grim Reaper ( a back tattoo that was put on the inside of my forearm)
My right forearm also has a back tattoo (12" high and 9" wide) of a naked woman riding the back of an Eagle. Enough about me, this topic is about you.
I do not know any artist that use other than all natural powder dyes in their inks. The fact that your skin does not take color is usually due to the pigment in your skin and the elasticity. Older people are harder to have color to grab to than young. White and yellow are the hardest to hold. Light blues and reds fade out fast, green and black stick the longest. My oldest tattoos are about 35 years old and you can still see the green just fine. The yellows and red have long since gone.
It also depends on the mix of the ink and depth of the tattoo.
Anyway, talk to your boyfriend about your tattoo. A good relationship requires honesty and concessions on both sides. People will say that you should not have to make concessions for a relationship to work. This is true! But when you truly love someone, you will make the concessions of your own free will, not because you are being forced to.
You know that you truly love someone when you are willing to go out of your way for that person, willing to be inconvenienced without the griping and complaining.

Wow Ozzie I didn't know you had tattoos!
I didn't know red and yellow faded quickly. I have always imagined myself to get a tattoo with color. I was thinking of a red heart in between my shoulder blades lately. But I was also thinking of a black heart on my shoulder to represent Love and Strengh and alot more. I just don't know. It's a permanent mark on my body IT HAS TO LOOK BEAUTIFUL. Maybe not the shoulder maybe somwhere else. My mom hates tattoos she doesn't want me to get one at all. She gets really mad when I talk about one I saw somwhere or one I would want to get.

Wait wait wait, what? There's not much you can do in all black to cover this monstrocity up and I don't want a removal. Im so confused on this I don't even know where to begin, I think you're making a joke especially with the stain part. Im actually just confused.
Well, if it helped I told him the truth and got shit for it. He told me all this shit about how I should have asked him in the first place about the first one. Talk about regret. Fuck, regret is a mother fucker man.

RELAX....the stain part WAS intended as a joke! Don't worry about it!
Also, don't worry about the boyfriend, trust me you did the right thing! If you are Always honest about everything, he will never have room to complain!
It is true, the cover up will look like crap....most do! That is why most artists will refuse to do a cover up, it makes their work look like shit! Bottom line is that unfortunately the only color that will cover other colors is Black. So you have to decide...live with it, pay to get rid of it, spend money on a cover up that 99.9% of the time looks worse (except when covering names) OR use the money for another Tat that you really like......or buy your boyfriend a gift and tell him you love him and decided that you had enough tattoos!
You said it is a "monstrosity", how big is it? The larger it is, the harder to cover!
Where is it? Somewhere I thought I read it was on your butt, TRUE? or was that some smart-ass posters reply?
The butt is a tough area to get a tattoo to stay, usually very dry skin and always rubbing on cotton pants etc. Clothing and sun are the two worse things for tattoos. That is why you may notice most artist wear baggie clothing, "t"shirts, pants, tank tops and so on. This is to prevent rubbing.
There isn't much any of us from this forum can do for you, hon. Except give advise that may confuse you more and offer moral support that your final decision will be all right. If you get another Tattoo, make sure of exactly what you want.......some of mine took years to plan and decide.

KALI......a Hindu Goddess..........
http://www.exoticindiaart.com/artimages/db09.jpghttp://www.exoticindiaart.com/artimages/ra03.jpgKali is represented as a Black woman with four arms; in one hand she has a sword, in another the head of the demon she has slain, with the other two she is encouraging her worshippers. For earrings she has two dead bodies and wears a necklace of skulls ; her only clothing is a girdle made of dead men's hands, and her tongue protrudes from her mouth. Her eyes are red, and her face and breasts are besmeared with blood. She stands with one foot on the thigh, and another on the breast of her husband.
http://www.exoticindiaart.com/artimages/ba22.jpg
Above is the Goddess DURGA, it is written that Kali was born of her Brow!
I do not know if I would want my wife having a Tattoo of the Hindu Deity KALI on her body.........after all, that IS her husbands body that she is standing on!  But, then again it WOULD make a neat tattoo for you....except for the color problem!

Which part, tgd_02?
For our Non-Philadelphia area members, or those who live in other states or countries and have never been to Philadelphia......
Market Street runs East to West thru the Center City part of Philly. From Penns Landing and Columbus Boulevard at the Delaware River, 63 long city blocks to 63rd St at the border to Delaware County and The City of Upper Darby.
Market St runs the gauntlet from the tourist and visitor area in the East, through Old City around 5th and Market (where the Liberty Bell is located and Independence Hall where our Declaration of Independence was signed) at Independence National Historic Park. Through the shops at "The Gallery" and other center city stores, City Hall at (the center of the two rivers) Broad St (14th St) past high rise corporate offices between 15th St and 23rd St where you cross the Schuylkill River past the Main Post Office and Train Station at 30th St and on westward past colleges and Hospitals, Brown Stone Row and semi-attached homes, going under the "EL" (short for elevated train) which passes noisily above on its raised rails and runs the rest of the length of Market St. and right into Upper Darby.
This area of West Philly is currently being revitalized with new "El Train" stations on raised platforms, new tracks and supports, new buildings and rebuilding many of those that exist.
52nd St is the "Hub" of West Philly activity. With all types of shops, stores and restaurants (both ethnic & regular)all up and down Market and 52nd St.
Market St is full of hub-bub and hustle, 24/7 every day of the year.....except during a Big snow storm. And if it snows at Christmas..... when the snow stops, the Christmas lights are up and lit, street lights are glowing, everything looks so clean and magical.
Philly is a cool city, with a lot of cool people!

OK, Now I got it!
South Street runs parallel to Market and a few blocks to the south. It runs from river to river where it turns into Spruce Street at Franklin Field, The University of Pennsylvania and The Univer. Of Pa. Medical Center at 34th St and Civic Center Blvd.
South Street is the party area, lots of Night Clubs, Bars, Restaurants, stores to shop at, boutiques, head shops, Tattoo Parlors, etc, etc.
The night life along South Street is akin to Bourbon Street in New Orleans,
