OK ever since VerticalKiller posted the terminal thread Tatto's have been getting alot of publicity so I thought I'd make one about piercings. Tell us about your prized piercings. :D

My ears have had the traditional lobe pierce since I was a baby. I plan on getting two more on the higher part of my left ear to go for a unique look. I'm not into the trendy lobe enlargers. I only like them if they are a reasonable size. Not like you can fit a coke can in your earlobe. I don't like eyebrow piercings because I feel they are dated. I like lip rings but too many people are getting them and it's just too trendy for me. I like nose piercings. Even when it's the lower part of the nose like a bull. I like tongue piercings. I don't like nipple piercings not even on men it's gross I don't like piercing "below the waist" either. I hear you can pierce the back of your neck. Please talk about any piercings that you find interesting!

Piercings including but not limited to: my nose , industrial ear, both nipples, and HAD my tongue pierced but that was just a bit too much, not to mention it gets in the way of a hell of a lot of stuff. Not to mention ear lobes and two cartillage rings.

If only I weren't allergic to them............

Piercings are ugly, the worst thing you can do to your body is sticking a freaking metal shaft in it and call it "beautiful" or "sexy".

the problem is that I once got an earring and it was very painfull to remove it, that made me angry against the earrings, on the other side I don't like piercings, because they simply destroy the your body, tattoos are just on your skin : ).

Piercings on men either look ulgy or camp. Id never get one.

On women belly button, ears and tongue can all be very sexy. Especially tongue in my opinion.

Anything else just looks ugly though.

I think lip rings are espicially sexy.... Actually if you don't like your new pierce you can just remove it and if it is a standard hole it will close back up. It's not really damaging at all. I can't wait to get my new cartilage piercing in my ear! Very rarely do I find a guy who's ear piercing I like. It really just seems ear piercings are more for girls to me.

Agreed! Theres a fine line between sexy or attractive and over doing it. And you're right its not very damaging within reason. Took my tongue ring out and im fine, and that's after i had it done twice.

Personally, I have three piercings in my left ear lobe and one in the right (just to keep people talking), while the holes are small for "normal" post or wire type earrings, I do not care for the large stretched out lobes or lower lips that are so popular in some sectors.
I don't care how many ear piercings a person has, as long as they remain the size of a post or wire......after that I feel it comes under mutilation and distortion of the human body.
As far as location is concerned, the only other "public" place that I do not mind seeing a gem or bauble hung by a piercing is the naval. To me it accents and draws your eyes to a nice stomach. And in a sexual way, brings attention to a woman's womb.
I do not appreciate piercings on any other part of the face, tongue or body....except the nipples if used for sexual gratification, since as an object of beauty it would be wasted in a society that shuns going topless!

Thank you Killer. :D Yeah I was thinking of a tongue ring today. But when sombody's ear lobes are stretched out so far they can't go back to normal size without surgery I don't think in any way is that attractive. I also just prefer is they guy/girl has only ONE lip/chin piercing there's a difference between attractive and "I'm scared I could lose an eye kissing this person!" One or twoo facial piercings is enough!

None, thou my roomate has one nose ring, one eyebrow, 3 on his left and one big one (fancy size... double zero and shit) that is bout the size of a toonies (his ear lope)

Also has 3 lips on the bottom one, left right and center

I got a new piercing today! My tongue.......for the third time. Why three times? Well I went to have my tatt checked up on again and I got offered a free one, so I went for it and got a shit load of french ticklers for free to boot. Maybe now I can learn to enjoy oral sex, but I doubt it. Still gross!

I had a female friend that got her hip pierced, she used it to hang her sunglasses off. Piercing with a practical use.

I've got a prince albert great for jacking off. I've also got my nipple pierced. I have quite a few celtic tattoos and some tribal. Had a celtic circle around my gothic cross done just last week!

Had my ear pearced when i was rare for guys to do it, thing is, ya do it to be diffrent, once every one does it, it looses some value, I might just be talkin through my arse but I'd like to take a nail gun to some of these wankers, that should impress their mates!!!

I got my 'seconds' pierced yesterday afternoon (of course it was both ears).... Soon I will have 10 piercings! 5 on each ear... can't wait to have them all done...

Only one hole in each ear was done with a piercing gun on me. All the rest were done with a needle and 1/2 a potato....some alcohol....
some Ice and quite a few shots of Jack Daniels!
oh yeah......How many? 3 in the left ear lobe and two in the right (5 total counting the ones done at the Piercing Pagoda)

This may look kinda dumb but here's what my ears will look like pretty soon.... I might wanna do it myself but I'm not sure if I should....
I might have 6 in each ear as you can see the weirs blob on the standard lobe is already pierced so just look at the "rings" if you will.... I put a "?" next to one 'cuz I'm not sure if I wanna pierce that spot twice if I do I might get the bottom one avove the top one.... Kinda hard to explaine...

All mine are in the "fleshy part" of the lobe. Piercing is so cheap, free w/starter posts in most cases.....I think I would stay away from the firmer or cartilage filled part of the ear. Leave that for the pros at the mall or if they only do lobes, see a reputable piercer (your tattoo artist may be one or can hook you up) I know of several peeps that "blew out" part of their ear and now have a large round sphere of flesh where they attempted to pierce. Forget the medical term for it!
Either way, sterilization is the key. You can not be too clean!

I'm heading straight to the tattoo parlour. I would've already had them pierced up and showing them off but it's a new law in Texas that anybody under the age of 18 must have a form of a photo ID and must have a parent with them.... The reason is anything cartilage is considdered a "facial" peircing because your nose is made of cartilage.... stupid I know. Well I'm using my student ID which they haven't given us yet... Now tomorrow everybody in the school must re-take their pictures because the dumbass photo company somhow runined %80 of all the photos taken in the school. Everybody must have them re-taken.... And I don't know how long it will take the school to make student ID's.... I would use last years buit it says I'm 15 and I looked bad in it so I threw it out....

I have both ears pierced, and have decided that for my 40th birthday, I'm going to get my nipples pierced ( confirmed with the wife this won't affect and may heighten the sex life).
As for general piercings, it depends on the person. Some people can get away with things, regardless of how different, others can't, and just look foolish.
Coming from the point of view of someone that has seen a few physical conflicts, I wouldn't get piercings where they can get grabbed easily, and ripped out. ( eyebrow, lip, nose, neck) My earings are of then kind that the hook is straight, goes into a little 'U" shaped clip at the back, so if pulled on it just opens and comes out.

...The half of a potato provides a backing behind the ear so the lobe does not move and it is easier to push the needle through.
I suppose I could have just pushed it through into my thumb.............
naaa, that might hurt!

oh, you could also use one of those large erasers instead of the potato.....
hmmmm, heard they work as well. Don't know, never owned one....never needed one :)
