So there must be like a 10000 coffee recipes out there.

I like my cappuccino with lots of cinnamon and most of the times some regular, strong coffee to stay up and working.

How do you like yours?

AHHHHH, Coffee.....The nectar of the Gods!
Massive Quantities, the stronger the better! As a person who has always lived life in the "fast lane" I was always attracted to stimulants. Along with a sleep disorder where I was constantly tired but didn't sleep drove me to consuming massive amounts of the stuff.
Unfortunately, the Doctor told me I had to cut back due to my Heart Condition, so now I only drink one pot before I go to work and limit myself to three(3) 24oz cups during the shift.
By the way, the best coffee I ever had? While camping, wood fire, two scoops in a sock and put in a boiling pot of water! (the dirtier the sock the better!)
I don't care for all those fancy schmancy coffee shop type beverages...give me a gold ol' mug of java anytime!
All my "on the road" coffee is bought at a chain called "WAWA".... anyplace else tastes like MONKEY PISS!

STARBUCKS is a Friggin RIP OFF! They are taking 12oz of Hot water (basically free) adding about .01-.03 cents worth of ground coffee beans, some boiled milk (maybe .20 cents worth) and some chemical flavouring, mixing it all together and frothing it up into a "Cappuccino" or "Hat Latte" or whatever and charging HOW MUCH? $5.00/cup?
They are nothing but prostitutes doing business in a coffee shop!

That is what I like about the little town near my house....
First, I need to set the picture. My town (in Pennsylvania) has one intersection with a 4 way stop sign. Four churches, 1 Fire House w/Bingo Hall, 1 Gas Station, 1 Bar with Restaurant (great steaks and burgers), 1 Bakery, 1 Pizza Parlour and a General Store with soda counter, tables and coffee shop.
The General Store is the local hangout for all the jaw flappers. It still has wooden floors, Penny (5 cent) Candy, old fashioned (original)soda fountain, swivel stools, hard ice cream, real milkshakes, good homemade soups and sandwiches, daily dinner and desert specials that are less than $5.00 and COFFEE.
In the store they sell all the magazines and newspapers that you would want to read. So, you grab the newspaper of your choice, pull up an old creaking wooden chair get a cup of coffee ($1.00 I think) and sit there, read your newspaper and talk. FREE REFILLS as long as you are there!
After a while, when you are done with your paper, you either trade it with someone else or put it back. Sometimes I splurge and get a fresh baked piece of pie or cake with my second cup. Total cost? I always leave a $5 note....cheap date for good coffee and better talk!
You can't get that at Starbucks or Borders or even McDonalds!

That's basically what it's like around here :)

There's 2 churches, police department, gas station/deli, school, drug store, post office, bank, small little hospital thing, ball park... all within a couple minutes of my house...

i'm not into the whole caffeinne scene, i'm gonna try and run everything naturally for as long as i can but i think one day i'll succumb into needing a coffee at certain times of the day. i hope that never happens but we'll see.

...oh YEAH, MY TOWN....NO cops (State Police area), NO Banks, NO shopping centers or malls, NO Schools or school zones.....people ride Quads or snowmobiles in the street when it snows, there is a Trout & Small Mouth Bass stream at the edge of town. If there is another car in front of you at the stop sign it is a traffic jam! and everything that we don't have but need is a 5 minute drive away!

I knew about the area for years from hunting the farms around here and fishing the stream down the road.
I was Born in Philadelphia and raised half of my growing life in on a "ranch" in Wyoming.
Got married while in the ARMY and stationed in New Jersey....went back to Wyoming....not enough work. Traveled and settled in this area.
Found this farm house a few years ago, had been vacant for about three years. Bought it for a song (so I thought) about 4 years ago. Needed a LOT of work and still does. But I keep telling myself.....3 bedroom house, 2.5 baths, 2 car attached garage, in-law suite above garage (not finished), small barn, 1/2acre plus, hardwood floors, wood burning stove, 9 mature Oaks, 3 Apple Trees, 4 CrabApple, assorted other trees, etc.
Bought it for about 30-35,000 under the market value in the condition it was in. This will be my retirement nest egg. Fix it up, take my time.
Better than renting and making a Landord wealthy!
