Though I know nothing about this case, my instinct tells me the majority of the charges would have been pressed for various classifications of criminal damage. The intent appears malicious against the owner of the goats, and thus I can imagine a judge maxing out the sentence (for whatever charges) on that basis.

We can only guess that the voices featured in the video owned the goat themselves, and from here on in it is difficult to qualify whether their actions are technically legitimate or not. If they were charged with animal cruelty, could they not argue they were feeding the anaconda (if that really is the species featured -- to the untrained eye -i.e. mine- it could just as easily be a species of python or boa, and furthermore I doubt that either of us are quaified to extapolate upon the legality of anacondas themselves)?

Perhaps they had a permit to own whatever snake it is? I know nothing about legislation concerned with the feeding of domesticated, carnivorous animals. Indeed, I know very little about the feeding of carnivorous animals in general. Perhaps this snake would feed only on live animals? We just don't know.

I do know that when I was younger I used to keep a tarantula and had to feed it crickets. Was I to kill these crickets individually in the quickest way possible before dropping them in the vivarium?

Animal cruelty? I say yes, you say yes, but the law is a great, grey nomad's land -- especially given the evidence seen in the video, which thus-far is all we have to judge by.

You of course are welcome to follow it up, but the owners of filecabi.net have very little legal responsibility for the contents of their USER-UPLOADED videos. If proven to be illegal and if pressured by relevant authorities they may be asked to take it down (though even this will in 9/10 cases be due to copyright infringement). Honestly, I wasn't entirely sure of the outcome. Call me naive, but I've seen bizarre videos of Zebras, Deer & all other sorts of animals escaping the clutches of their natural predators. Hell, in some cases I've even seen them retaliate effectively. I guess I thought for a moment that what warranted the video's presence here was that there was something exceptional about the content, not just the predictable death of an animal by the hands of some sadistic inbreds.

If anything pisses me off most, it's when people conclude the video as a racial factor only when it's about non-whites (mainly blacks) and use the N word at the same time (and especially make racist jokes). You mods are too nice, I wouldn't give any open racist that even utters the racist N word a chance.

There's obviously a reason I made myself look vulnerable, especially when "Cletus" was given a last warning.
