This DOUCHE BAG "Representative" of the American People (Wisconsin, Republican, 2nd Assembly District) is trying to pass a Law, giving Principals and Teachers the right to carry firearms in schools to protect themselves and their students.

It seems this maybe neccessary considering the recent spate of killings in schools. So does that mean a new teacher will have to do a gun training course on how to neutralise and kill?

So America is going from crazy loons capping each other on the streets, to crazy students shooting up schools to teachers capping their students.
They say progress is a drawn out affair.

NO NO NO - Teachers are thier t teach and sometimes lend a heart.
If a teachers says a bad word over here to or about a pupil they get thier ass hauled into court lol - imagine if they had weapons.
I say no way in hell , because - Only if there has been a History of Violence at the same school
That is not even an option, if the schools are that bad that the teachers/head are scared for their lives SHUT IT DOWN till its resolved.
If this happens, what next the emergancy services ie the Docs n Nurse's carrying guns etc
Fact is THE ARMY dont like using guns, but they have no choice. Imagine if u handed them to the teachers.
I say if u get caught carring a weapon ure suspended for life.
World is not a great place to live in terms of safety even the emergancy services over hear are under attack from morons/idiots stuns me to the bone that people actually call out the fire service t lure them into dead end/waste ground to throw rocks etc at the trucks
Also the ambulance crew get a beating over here, and now in some places feel they have to wear bulley proof vests.
Socity is being controlled by a few cowards. If the law was actually a LAW then we'd have little worrys and wouldnt take a 2nd thought going out at dark etc.
NO is my answer. teachers are thier to care n teach people not frighten kids.

@Colzi, dude, I dont think its about frightening kids. Its about protecting them. If I had kids and they went to school in America nowadays, with the current threat of sickos blasting kids away, Id feel a lil more happier knowing that if a gunman holds my kids hostage, theres some hope of neutralising the threat.

Teachers carrying guns/ weapons is just, well its mental.
In the very rare of such happenings ( likely got more chance of getting killed by a faliing coconut that u are being involved in a school hostage/killing spree! )
Sorry but if the school had any prevoius past/involvment with weapons i wouldn't put my kid in that School.
If i asked u to carry a gun weapon around in ure work hours would u ?
Also u have t remember that 99.99 % of the Schools 99.99% of the time in the US are fine and have no issues with weapons.ie not using them.

since the poll doesnt have the answer that id like to put ill make my own. i think it would be acceptable for them to carry mace/pepperspray and tazers anything lethal i dont agree with. due to the fact that if a student was desperate enough to bring a gun to school to kill someone. they will be able to get ahold of one of the staffs firearms.

Using Pepper Spray or Mace is not advised in a closed environment. Although non-lethal, it does not stop someone who is "amped up" on Meth or PCP or some other chemical.
Also, the mist from both spreads at such a rate that it would offend not only the students in a confined classroom but those passing in the halls and neighboring classes.
I have seen whole Night Clubs empty out because someone "accidentally" discharged a pepper spray!

Hellllll no.
I thought that Federal Law Prohibited Corporal Punishment in Public Schools. (Catholic Schools are considered Private, FYI)
Oh well, I could have misunderstood the wording of the Law...perhaps it is decided on the state level.
Do you have Corporal Punishment at your grade level or just up until a certain grade or age?
I am for Corporal Punishment in Schools up to about age 12....after that kids are set in their ways and are getting to big to hit.

In both states where I attended school (Pa & Wy) they did not allow corporal punishment in my schools.
I remember when my 7th grade English teacher slapped me in the face because I made a joke about the "Jolly Roger"...his name was Mr Roger and we were reading Treasure Island. Rather stupid reason for slapping a kid in front of the class if you ask me.
Well my father thought it was stupid as well, came to the school and jacked the teacher up against the blackboard. This was in 1966....
About a year later I back talked another teacher (math). He grabbed me by my shirt and slammed me against the wall. I told him my pop was gonna come to school and kick his ass! So the teach called my home right from the classroom.
My Pop came over to the school and jacked ME against the blackboard! He told the teacher in front of the entire class that if I act up again to put his foot right up MY ASS!
I behaved in class there after!
Allister....
What type of corporal punishment do they have in Alabama? Up to what age and who administers it?

Well... I dont think they have it in the Elementary school... But I'm pretty sure it's in the Middle school, and its in the High School... So... Grades 6th through 12th?
It's paddlings... Usually, your choice is, that you can choose between two hours of after-school detention, or two licks from the paddle... Basically just spankings... Except with a big ass piece of plexiglass. :? Usually they get a coach to do it... Yeah it hurts like hell I'm not going to lie.
Get this... I got in trouble for wearing a shirt that says "HELL'S KITCHEN" on it and holes in my jeans... And they gave me a 'paddling'... How fucked up is that?

Yeah in my old reck-neck-piece-of-utter-and-complete-bull-shit-make-you-wanna-kill-yourself middle school you could be "paddled" some teachers would have a paddle on the board where you keep the markers. You had to go to the principal's office to have it done I think. If ANY of the fuckers EVER would've tryed to lay one finger on me I'd go off and get myself arrested for assualt before letting them touch me. And if they wold've tryed to do that bullshit to my little sister I would've done the same thing even worse. Nobody touches my family especially my little sister.
It's going to be somthing when one of those inbred hicks misses sombody's ass and damages a kidney(s) don't you think?
