Here's some useless facts... not top 5, though...
In 1631, two London bible printers accidentally left the word "not" out of the seventh commandment, which then read, "Thou shalt commit adultery." This legendary book is now known as the "Wicked Bible."

The only reason Kurt Cobain is in there is because Cortney just sold off about 1/2 her shit that she had on him. Song rights, etc.
Generaly speaking, ol' Elvis is still the "King"

Something sitting in an attic is not generating income for the artist. The poll is based on income this past year.
Can't figure the Einstein dilemma, and yes Charles Schultz did create Snoopy. His estate still owns the rights. So every greeting card, Mylar balloon, wrapping paper, Halloween Costume, memo pad or lunch box that is sold with one of the lil' guys images brings bucks to the estate.
Not sure of the complete accuracy of the polls...note the question raised by Bishop on the square miles of China vs Canada

the dead celeb list comes from a news paper article, it doesn't explain why einstein is in the list, just that he is a new entry :? :-
Cobain still pulling in the money
Tuesday, October 24, 2006
Kurt Cobain has surpassed Elvis Presley to become the world's top-earning dead celebrity.
The late Nirvana frontman raked in 50 million dollars (£26.3m) from beyond the grave over the past year, according to US business website Forbes.com.
It is 12 years since Cobain killed himself at his Seattle home aged 27, but he continues to make money through record sales.
His debut at the top of the list is largely due to his widow Courtney Love selling a 25% stake in in his song catalogue last year.
Elvis has held the number one spot for the past four years but between 2005-2006 he made only 42 million dollars (£22.1m).
Third in the list is Charles Schulz, creator of the Peanuts cartoon strip.
John Lennon is fourth, followed by new entry Albert Einstein.
Andy Warhol is sixth, ahead of Theodor 'Dr Seuss' Geisel and singer Ray Charles.
Marilyn Monroe and country legend Johnny Cash make up the top 10.
Author JRR Tolkien, Beatle George Harrison and reggae star Bob Marley are just outside the top 10.
Forbes said: "A nail in the casket is hardly the end for some stars. Instead, their work, as well as their iconic images, continues to appeal to fans who remember them, and to those born long after they died."
