It's got nothing to do with this great site, and everything to do with my pesky addictive personality. I tend to over do things a bit (ok, a lot) and get stuck with bad habits--like researching a post for an internet thread instead of working or studying. The only way for me to have any semblance of control is to quit cold turkey, so I'm out as of midnight 01DEC06 EST (that's in 20 hours) for at least a month, maybe more. Got some real life stuff to take care of--nothing serious or life-changing, just things that need to get done that haven't because of all the time I've spent online.

Check me out on myspace from time to time, I plan on blogging a bit and keeping up with family and friends through that, but I need a break from forums for a bit. I'll throw the link for my myspace page when I get home, myspace is blocked at work (smart IT people :evil:).

Well, I couldn't just up and leave without at least saying goodbye, that's just rude and believe it or not I've grown quite fond of a few of you.

I also didn't want to say goodbye and immediately up and leave--I'd be too tempted to check back for replies.

So, I settled for a compromise, 20 hours to tie up loose ends, then I'm off.

Nothing holding me back I guess, I have already made the decision to reduce my posting time on the I-net, so damn addictive.
I enjoy the talk, the banter back and forth....the shared knowledge and intellectual stimulation that I do get from posting here.
Sometimes it becomes obsessive and controls my time........frickin ADD sucks!
I have even tried to just monitor the forums without posting and felt like a junkie going through withdrawal.
I too have to do something to control the all consuming issues that exist between myself and the keyboard. Unfortunately, I need the computer for work, so when I am done my work related entries I find myself jumping over to Filecabi and seeing what's up..........3-4-5 hours later, I'm like, what the Hell am I doing?
