I am buying for myself and my house.........sending $$$ to son in college, send XOXO to his mom in Vermont.......treats for my dogs (I think the Bitch took, so puppies again in about 8-10 weeks), special apples, carrots and oats baskets for the horses.
My older brother is retired (age 55) and a millionaire....Xmas candy and a plant for the sister-in-law.
Rest of family live in Wyoming Rockies.....don't bother with the Holidays.
May buy sumpin for my wife......dunno. May not even see her. I'll get her a card and some thing that I can use if she doesn't stop by. Use to drop $600.00-$1,000.00 on her every Xmas. Be a cheap date this Christmas!

My 17 yr old smashed my car all to pieces a coupla weeks ago (hit a rock face - air bags protected him - phew) and my OTHER kid rear ended someone in the city - so no Christmas this year I'm afraid. Using those funds to fix the cars. We have Chinese take out for Xmas dinner and that will be it for this year. No prob. They understand why no presents this year. They're old enough.

I bought my mum the 'sopranos' season 6 box set. She loves all 'mafia', 'mobster' type movies, so I bought this for her, she's already got the Godfather series, Scarface to name but a few. Planning to go to Cardiff city to get another tattoo in a couple of weeks and get plastered, other presents will be easy. :)

I seriously do not want anything, I'm already grateful that my mother was generous enough to pay enough cash and that out of her pocket for me to be able to go back to school this semester.

Oh no VK. We could've enjoyed an e-bay moment together. I just got rid of a full Royal Doulton set I only ever used once.

Were you selling it for 999 and like 899 shipping, in a box, six pieces white cups and saucers? Or something like that?

I didn't sell it VK....I GAVE it away! I'm more of a gas station coffee in a paper cup girl - so it sat in the cupboard unappreciated. I could've mailed it to you for just the cost of postage. You may not have liked the pattern tho' (Mystique - now discontinued). I also have the dinner set - but have been putting it in the dishwasher (sacrilege I know :P )
No wait! I just checked - it was the coffee stuff I got rid of - the T set is still here. Do you want it? You don't have to pay me, but maybe make a donation over there to a charity that helps homeless people. I will leave it up to your own conscience whether you do it or not.
ps: You'll have to wait until after Christmas. I am not standing in one of those god awful line ups at the post office around this time of year.

Reminds me of yet another one! I think this was "One foot in the grave"
(Scene: Victor Meldrew is fed-up and grumpy up as usual, especially with the "fun" of airports)
Customs officer: "Anything to declare, sir?"
Meldrew: "Hmph. Only the crack in my arse."
Customs officer: *puts the rubber gloves on*...

Ahh, classic.
Yeah, he may well have been run over, I really can't remember! Now that you mention it, I think it was something avoidable / not-age-related like that.
