Pipex the bastards!

They took more than they should off me :evil:

Pipex charge me £15 per month, this time, they charged me 2 seperate charges £15 (correct paid.) Then a few days later they charge a futher £12. :x


Happened to my pal, and they just took/ deducted £12 from the following month's charge.


So ok i will get my money back (£12) but problem is they(Pipex) made me overdrawn. Bank are going to charge me £30 for being overdrawn.
But its not my fault is it , its Pipex! , so do i/can i say to Pipex u have to pay the bank charge also.! ?

What are my rights ( so t speak) :?

Pipex used to be one of the best ISP's in the UK and since The Hoff started advertising for them, they have gone to ****.

I'm moving from them soon because i'm getting disconnected all the time and downloads speeds are terrible because they are throttling everything that I do.

I think you can claim the £30 back, but don't expect them to just give it to you. Explain on the phone first, i'm sure they will ignore you/quote their company policy etc, then write them a letter and send a copy of whatever papers the charge from the bank comes on.

My mate has Pipex and they seemed quite good when he first got them.

I'm with Biskit and they suck.

If you go to your bank and explain they will refund you - if this isn't your fault. Check your Pipex contract if you are in doubt.

We have Pipex on a second line but through Pipex Homecall who apparently the original Pipex aren't exactly fond of. They're ok in our experience so far, but the service is deathly slow sometimes.

Also avoid Plusnet, they don't even back up their mail servers before they perform dangerous operations that accidentally wipe the contents. And they have so many other issues that you can never get through to the helpline because it's always crammed full of people complaining.

Zen are the way to go if you're an entheusiast - which I suppose most forum users are - they're expensive but you get what you pay for.
