Why do cotten buds cost so much?

These things are essential to keep one's ears cleansed and unlike bog roll they seem to hike up the price for no truly apparent reason. I personally like to wet one end to a point and tickle inside of my ear and use the other end to ferk around a bit. What is our government doing about this? Nothing - I say nothing! Don't they have ears too?

My technique - shower sprayed at a 45 degree angle from all sides of ear hole and then dried with tissue/toilet paper pulled taught over tip of index finger.

Works a treat!
