Because it looked to me like it was a recording being played back....and then filmed on someones mobile.

Any we have those escalators all over, you have the trollys with wheels that sit in the grove and a rubber stopper is supposed to keep it from rolling, however you still have to hold on to it or they do roll.

It looked more like she had overloaded the trolly and couldn't stop itfrom rolling.

Someone is filming a PC screen in the first shot and doing the same in the second so it is probably a cheap cameraphone recording by some security guard looking at genuine footage retrospectively. You can tell by the guy laughing before the woman actually whacks the people at the bottom in the first clip.

I have to admit it is funny though :)

It could have been worse. She could have been tumbling down an up escalator and continued tumbling downward for hours while the escalator is going up. Now that would have been a funny video. I'd put some fast hard rock music to it.

Fake? The way she took out that guy at the bottom of the escalator didn't look fake. If it were staged, no sane person would volunteer for a stunt like that. Getting clipped in the back of the legs like that can cause serious injury to an achilles tendon or knee.

we got escalators like that all over AUS. We just use these little brakes you can click down with your foot over the back wheel. Maybe she just forgot to apply that brake. Fuck being that guy that got hit. that fuckin hurts bad being hit on the back of the heel.
