Ridiculous, "I'm bleeding and I have a baby inside"

Yes, but do you have a drivers license?

It probably would have died anyhow even in the hospital being a 3 mo. old premature, the cops went about their regular procedure, why should they slack up and give a person lee way due to their predicament? Then they would have breached their duties and be suspended, besides she's suing and most likely gonna win, so she gets the upper hand right?

that is bullshit, whenever there is a police chase and the suspect crashes, do they not take him to the hospital first? what kind of foolishness are you talkin, if you where the father of that child you wouldn't be saying that, and besides, it IS THE LAW, for ANY PERSON to recieve medical attention when they are in the custudy of the police and they are injured,

maybe your mother should have gotta an aborsion, ur gonna die anyway right? besides, who the hell are you, what have yo done for this world???

I think the cops just didn't belive her, and I'm sure people have done this befor. Turns out the cops where wrong, and really should be jailed. The funny thing is not only was it those 2 cops but there must have been at least 6 others that had direct contact with her.

Are you a doctor?

Even if you were (and the intelligence demonstrated in your post is a strong indicator that you are not), you don't have enough information to make any diagnosis other than the lady is bleeding, and is 3 months pregnant.

And your final comment is beyond belief. I have three children, no amount of compensation in the world would be enough for me to feel I'd have the "upper hand" if I lost one of them.

That is so stupid man, all she ask was can I have some medical attention please in a really nice manor, the least that police(suppose to protect citizen) is to check her out and throw her in jail for whatever she had done wrong. I mean I don't blame the police at all, because there are a lot of fake, killers shit out there and you need to precaution but come on, at least check her out when she gets into jail and who in the right mind to remember to carry their driver license when they have a miscarriage and bleeding ??? """ besides she's suing and most likely gonna win, so she gets the upper hand right?"""" wow, what are you saying is everything was a setup, she sacrificed her baby just to sue the police and win the case??? you are sir a very nice human being, I hope seeing you in heaven!!!

I agree, my wife is a nurse and said the odds are 1 in 1000 that they could have saved the child BUT there was still that one percent chance however, now we will never know.

the cops went about their regular procedure, why should they slack up and give a person lee way due to their predicament?

Your wrong on this point. The cops where ignoring procedure because they thought she was full of shit and so did the jail. It was on the news and they talked to the chief of police his statement was they where investigating and that the conduct of the officers was not standard procedure then he quit commenting.

Then they would have breached their duties and be suspended, besides she's suing and most likely gonna win, so she gets the upper hand right?

I think the point is the police seem to think they dont have to follow the same laws we do. Lately it seems you see this type of thing way too often.

I'm sure the blood coming from her crotch killed her credibility too eh? MAYBE that would warrant taking her to the hospital to be sure?

I don't consider any kind of misdemeanor traffic violation a cause to brake from police policy's or deny peoples rights. Who cares what her criminal record is or was it SHOULD BE irrelevant.

They should have called an ambulance then asked all the questions they want on the way or at the hospital. I was on the police's side yesterday but today I have had enough especially because there are too many rude drivers on the road while they only write up speeding tickets. They are not just speeding! The police officer's problem is that they do not think but just "do" when it comes to law enforcement. I told them many times that I am into "continuous improvement", they ought to take that stand too. Then they might see the real problem is other than speeding. For example, a rude driver at a four-way stop will not yeild to those who made thier stop first. Forget about "rolling stops" and start going after rude mo fos. On the freeway they need to give "reckless driving" to those who tailgate, signal after the fact and are speeding. No wait, just two rules at the same time is enough for me to constitute "recklessness". Today I had someone swerve an inch away from my front bumper possibly holding me liable and then he tells me "get off the drugs". I yell so much when I drive I may have a heart attack. NOw that most are foriegn workers I think America is hopeless. NO it is, hermes-press.com Its a conpiracy intentionally made by the leaders, rich leaders. We don't get to vote for what we want to in this country, we get to vote between two evils.:mad2:

The female cop asked why she was leaving a store parking lot if she was on an emergency run to a hospital.......and why she had fake temp tags in the car. She definitely looked up to no good from the cops perspective.

Police, however, are supposed to call for medical assistance if you say you require it.

Okay, this appears bad on the surface, but there is one thing I don't get. Where is the blood I keep seeing everyone talk about? She may have needed medical attention, but there were no outward symptoms and her manner did not indicate physical distress.

I can see where the cops made an error, not out of prejudice, but because they were only working on what they knew. They did NOT know she was bleeding, it was NOT their place to check her on the scene and the DID do the right thing in taking her to the station. The only thing I can think of as a screw up was her not being checked at the station, and even then, we do not know if that happened or not.

Unfortunately, reading between the lines of the department's official statement, those officers are hosed for no other reason than PR.

1. Why was she going to the hospital without any ID?
2. I've seen what bleeding occurs during a miscarriage, the police officers would have seen it (white pants, hello!) and rushed her there. This woman is a slap in the face to any women that have actually had a miscarriage.
3. Any of you idiots that believe this are extremely naive and gullable. So what if it's a news report, that's what the media is paid to do...make news out of nothing.
