Aside from actually smashing the car, I thought it was kind of cool. Don't ask me why. I would like to see someone turn it into a sport, target at the end and everything. Maybe the sport can be whoever can do the most damage (by repair cost) to their car in 3 runs wins. If a human is injured during the game that's extra points for a hospital bill.
I'm thinking someone should try that on a skateboard too.

Ok, I like where this is going. :xyxthumbs:
You could also have someone driving toward you (also with ball and ramp) and you try to hit the opponent's car. Oh the possibilities are endless.

Yeah! It'd be like Twisted Metal or some shit like that. The goal would be to smash the other driver's windshield impairing his vision, or injuring him so that he crashes one way or another. How awesome would that be?

Hell yeah, throw in some of your fancy rolling anvils and a couple of pits filled with alligators that are on fire and we have a potential olympic event. I don't know what to call it though. :1orglaugh:

 And what did we learn? Momentum, friction and gravity are constant always acting forces that can bite you in the ass. They should've aimed the bowling ball at something and aimed it to go off the road. Oh well was funnier this way.

What else would anyone expect to happen when you combine:
1- A bowling Ball
2- A car
3- A couple of teenagers
Weeee! Ohhhhhh.

Yes it was a bad idea... it could get worse, driving 80Mph and do the same. 4.5 lbs x 80Mph = good enough to break concrete, or bones

How about if they were round bombs like in those old cartoons, with lit fuses. That would raise the stakes and make the video more exciting, with explosions when they land.

March 30th, 2007, 09:52 PM
Yeah it's a bad idea, especially when you aim the ramp toward your car instead of toward the gutter and you let a person with short arms drop the ball.

I guess these guys never took a physics class. Or any class ever. Newton's first law states: An object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by another force. Too bad they didn't realize that while doing 40, the ball would be doing the same.

April 29th, 2007, 06:58 PM
dude, you beat me to it, with the physics.
also, for those that were saying about not aiming the ramp at the car; do you really think it would've mattered if it was angled away from the car, really?
think about it :xyxthumbs:
