That is the exact line I was about to post. I worked in a fish pet shop as a teen so Ive feed literally thousands of fish to other fish and watched them be torn apart by triggers and the like, but this actually made me a little sick to my stomach.

Fish like many other animals (including humans) have a natural instinct to go into shock when there is a traumatic injury like that so its doubtful the fish felt much of anything because of the endorphines but without a doubt the fish most likely died a slow death after that... its completely unnecessary its one thing to kill an animal or even a fish for food but its a whole other story to cause intentional pain for the sake of entertainment. I don't think thats being a hippy more like a decent human being.

It is true that cats will play with their prey along with killer whales (orcas) but they do it to practice their hunting skills not for entertainment that is entirely different this act is done for sheer entertainment purposes which is probably why it has so many people disturbed.

Why is it that people only get upset about animal "cruelty" when they are exposed to it. When was the last time you heard someone debate over the faith of the meat on his plate? Come on, if its meat it probably died friggin horrible death. Its not like they put down the animals with lethal injections, they get cut open while hanging from the roof.

Meanwhile you get upset about a fish in a tank, its not even a mammal.
